Frank Michel Cycling - images of today's bike ride discovering Wat Ubosot Temple in Hang Dong

Image
Yes, today a nice bike ride to the Ban Phrae region in Hang Dong - Chiang Mai Northern Thailand. Arrived at Wat Ubosot ,the impression was very good. Very quiet, which is very unusual for these remote temples; no disturbing barking or growling dogs. Allowing for a pleasant, relaxed visit. The temple is very pleasant and shaded by many plants. Very clean and tidy despite one section still being under construction, and once completed, this temple will undoubtedly be very pleasant. always happy ride frankmichel.cycling@gmail.com

Frank Michel Cycling discovering Wat Umeng Temple in Yu Wa - SanPaTong - Chiang Mai Northern Thailand

Cycling and discovering Wat Umeng Temple - Yu Wa - SanPaTong - Chiang Mai in the Northern Thailand YouTube video of the wonderful bike ride and discovery   Tucked into the gentle folds of the Yu Wa region—an unassuming pocket of the sprawling SanPaTong district—lies Wat Umeng Temple, a modest yet profoundly tranquil sanctuary. Set in the shade‑dappled village square opposite the eponymous Wat Umeng school; the village that cradles the temple is the sort of place that feels untouched by the rush of modern life. As you step through the simple, gate, a sense of reverence settles over you. The main sanctuary seem to hold centuries of silent contemplation. The intricate structure of Wat Umeng Temple rises on the horizon, its crimson-tiled roofs and golden Buddha statues shining like a beacon of serenity. The temple courtyard, framed by elegant structures, welcomes visitors into an area of peace and tranquility. A gentle transition from the open road to a sacred stillness is felt. Here,...

Cycling and visiting Wat Sam Lang Temple - Ban Klang - SanPaTong

Image
There is a particular kind of magic that unfolds on two wheels, and today, I am seeking it in the emerald embrace of the SanPaTong countryside. The simple act of mounting my bike feels like an invitation to slip into a slower, more rhythmical world. My journey becomes a flowing meditation, the gentle whir of the chain and the soft crunch of tires on paths forming a wonderful soundtrack. Wat Sam Lang Temple, Ban Klang - SanPaTong in the beautiful Chiang mai Northern Thailand. Nestled in the serene countryside of San Pa Tong province, Wat Sam Lang Temple stands as a living chapter in one of Thailand’s most ancient spiritual landscapes. Its tranquil grounds occupy the same fertile plain as the evocative ruins of Wiang Tha Kan, an archaeological site that whispers of the Haripunchai Kingdom’s greatness over a millennium ago. While the crumbled laterite walls and ancient stupas of Wiang Tha Kan tell a story of a fallen civilization, Wat Sam Lang represents a powerful continuum of fait...
